I'll stamp all over 'credible fighter' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight-round contest which will be shown in real-time on Netflix.

British boxer Anthony Joshua declared he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "defeat" the American as the combatants met personally to build hype for next month's bout.

Ex two time unified heavyweight champion Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a huge disparity - at Miami's arena on December 19th.

Boxer's Attitude

"I'm going to injure his face and break his body up. I'm here to prove my superiority," Joshua, 35, said.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I'm going to really want to injure him. That's my goal."

Respectful Exchange

In spite of these statements, a composed Joshua and internet personality Paul - normally famous for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.

Paul instead attacked ex Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and described him as "a joke" after Ngannou rejected a match opportunity.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Joshua, at the same time, targeted British rival Fury - and declined a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a Paul victory.

"[Paul] outshines Fury - he's present here," Joshua stated.

"I give him credit for that."

Serious Fighter

Despite saying he intends to damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua chose not to speak negatively about his rival's pugilistic talent.

"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he remarked.

Paul's History

Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has mostly fought mixed martial artists or faded names since turning professional.

He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.

Financial Success

Nevertheless, the relative newcomer remains one of boxing's largest money-making draws, consistently making huge earnings.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28-year-old anticipated a stoppage in rounds four or five and stated he would stop the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is apparently being planned for two years from now.

"It's going to be my match with Fury next year," Jake Paul said.

Size Disparity

As Joshua and Paul met for the customary stare-down, with their physical disparity evident, it emphasized just how improbable this complete situation is - and how amazing it is that the bout is truly happening.
